A delightfully steamy romance/seduction that touched on the forbidden, very, very nice. I enjoy that sort of thing. Good work setting the scene. It felt realistic. Nice work.Combine a wedding, some family drama, and an old flame, with a new bit of hotness named Jake. Toss lightly with a slinky dress in the rain and you have a great plot setup. Throw in a blown out tire on a back country road and a damsel in distress, (who’s more angry than distressed) and add a dash of hot cowboy coming to the rescue … what could possibly go wrong with such a recipe? Just who his mother is for starts.
Nice, nice work. Completely enjoyable.

This was a sweet, fast, short read. It gives you a preview of the community & characters in which the next stories will be based. Looking forward to reading them.
Lots of positive action that moves along at a quick pace. Always fun to read about two strangers that meet unexpectedly n their way to the same wedding.
A great introduction to a new series. A nice story of a woman jilted by her dream lover but finding a new love instead.
This story was short and sweet... I thought it progressed too quickly but I was ok without because I liked the characters enough... If you are looking for a story to get you through until the next big book... This is a good one
This was a quick, entertaining tale. The writing was great. I had trouble identifying with the characters, but I feel if the book had been a bit longer it would have allowed for more robust character-building and more dynamic relationships. That being said, I had fun reading it and look forward to reading more from Ms. James!
Melanie and Jake’s love story is beset by a comedy of errors. but no misunderstandings are enough to destroy their connection in this sweet romance novel. Chance brings them together at their parents’ wedding; bad luck and an obnoxious ex try to tear them apart. I enjoyed the rural setting and the way the author shows appreciation for the good things about both rural and urban living. One doesn’t often see such affection for the Midwest. It was also nice to see Melanie’s courage in throwing off the shackles of security and pursuing her dreams. This is a fun and flirty book, and I look forward to seeing this writer and this series continue to develop.
